measures, and technical information. The conference
was co-chaired by Denver Water, Colorado, the Regional
Municipality of Niagara, Canada, and Thames Water, England.
During two days of content-rich gatherings, the conference
offered attendees thirty-two carefully selected state-of-the-art,
real-world situations, presented by experts from around
the world. Topics covered the latest advances in transient
analysis and GIS-centric real-time modeling and control
applications; development of improved water quality
models; design of effective unidirectional flushing
programs; and construction and calibration of large-scale
water and sewer dynamic hydraulic models. Experts also
discussed the management of urban runoff and wet weather
water quality problems in combined, sanitary and storm
sewers to optimize BMP and LID designs and meet SSO
and CSO regulations, optimize system design, rehabilitation
and expansion and operations, and improve infrastructure
security. The event also looked at the latest developments
in other critical areas, including innovative master
planning technologies and the role of GIS and Asset
Management in improving business performance.
The conference receives glowing testimonials from all

Here's what attendees have said about IGC 2005:
"This conference has
established itself as the flag bearer for introducing
the latest technologies and upcoming regulations affecting
infrastructure modeling and master planning projects.
The speakers included a long list of world renowned
authorities on hydraulic modeling and surge analysis,
covering a wide spectrum of topics on technical subjects,
project management, and client management. I especially
liked MWH Soft's professionalism and their effort to
facilitate networking between the attendees throughout
the conference while maintaining a fun environment.
I am looking forward to next year's conference."
Carollo Engineers, CA
"This was the most relevant
conference that I've attended. The presentations at
most conferences are too generalized, however, almost
every presentation at this conference included useful
information, such as approaches to correct the topology
and allocate demands, number of field calibration tests,
and typical duration of water age models. It's also
good to know that everyone else is facing the issues
that we are with the development of an all-pipe model
and integrating databases. Thanks."
City of Longmont, CO
"The conference was well
coordinated/organized and was an excellent learning
opportunity with exceptional coverage of modeling technologies."
Las Vegas Valley Water District, NV
"Excellent Conference!
With intense information, entertaining, and outstanding
presentations. It also provided an amazing opportunity
to network and realize the tremendous opportunity which
lies ahead of us
"
IDModeling Inc., CA
"Thank you again for
hosting such a wonderful conference this week and for
providing a great networking opportunity for professionals
in our field."
Kennedy/Jenks Consulting Engineers, CA
"It was an excellent
program full of great presentations, discussions and
even some fun."
Denver Water, CO
"Thought it was great.
Well organized and good speakers."
Woolpert, CO
"I thought the conference
was great
.the content was varied and interesting,
and the facilities were very nice."
City of Napa, CA
"It's hard to think of
how you could do better as it was great all around
good
presentations from people doing the leading edge, innovative
stuff, and a balance of different aspects. I like that
the focus is that this is a modeling/management conference
and not just a "User's Conference".
Burns & McDonnell, MO
"I want to congratulate
MWH Soft for organizing a very successful meeting. We
deeply appreciate the effort by MWH Soft to provide
us such chance to commute with other engineers. All
the presentations are really impressive. I had a great
time and enjoyed conversation with people there."
Flow Science Inc., VA
"I was particularly surprised
at the technical content and nature of the conference.
The quality of the presentations and the knowledge of
the presenters was very high. I was also particularly
pleased with the organization of the conference. Considering
the number of presenters and the potential for technical
issues, the conference was kept on time. Congratulations
on a job well done. This was most certainly a conference
worth attending."

The conference was a
great success very well organized, I liked the venue
very much. I thought the standard of papers presented
was very high and the topics were varied
It was
very useful to see how others were using the software
and tackling network key issues. Everyone was very friendly,
it was a joy to attend and exchange ideas with others.
I look forward to next year
.
Thames Water, UK
I really enjoyed the
conference and got a lot out of it
Thank you.
The facilities were extremely nice as well, a definite
treat!
Really enjoyed the international presentations
and perspective. Really liked learning about how other
utilities are operating and using their model. We can
learn from them and hopefully save time and money and
not reinvent the wheel.
Overall a great meeting
and I look forward to the next one.
Colorado Springs Utilities. CO
Thank you very much
for hosting such a well-organized and pleasant conference.
This is the only forum where we (Orange County) can
get such detailed and specific information related to
the integration of hydraulic modeling and GIS. It is
very beneficial for us to hear what other utilities
and consultants are doing with this leading technology.
In addition to learning valuable information on many
specific topics, I really enjoyed the people and the
atmosphere. I would love to offer some constructive
criticism, but I can't think of a way to improve what
you already provide.
Orange County Utilities, FL
I am very impressed
with the conference and plan on attending as many future
ones as I can. The venue was great. The people in attendance
enhanced the credibility of the conference (you get
the best of the best in modeling to attend). This makes
the opportunities to network great. Your social events
should not be missed. The amount of information presented
at the conference is overwhelming.
